Grandma's crochet doily

Grandma's crochet doily

I inherited this doily from my grandmother. I never remember seeing her crochet, so I guess she isn't the one who made it. But it means a lot to me all the same.

Grandma painted beautifully. She painted landscapes and painted on china. She also created her own porcelain and fired it in her own kiln she had downstairs. I'm absolutely thrilled to have some of her work. I have a painted plate, a beautiful porcelain doll, and a few other pieces. Someday when fragile things are safer around my house, I'll put them out and probably use this doily to show them off.
