This is another snowflake patterned after a snowflake I found at Snowcrystals.com. It's all done in one, with no cutting and tying between rows (or climbing out). It's quick and delicate and one of my favorite patterns I've designed so far.
This pattern was tatted with size 30 DMC Cebelia thread. It is beginning level and uses one shuttle.

You will need:
Tatting thread in your choice of colors, size 30
1 tatting shuttle
R: (4ds p) 3 times, 4ds close turn
*Ch: 16ds turn
R: 4ds j to last p of prev R, (4ds p) 2 times, 4ds, close, turn*
Repeat between * until you have completed 5 rings
Ch: 16ds turn
R: 4ds j to last p of prev R, 4ds p 4ds j to first p of first R, 4ds, close, turn
Ch: 16ds do not turn or cut thread
Ch: 20ds lj to base of next R, repeat around
Ch: 24ds lj at the end of corresponding Ch on previous row, repeat around
#Ch: 11ds p 3ds, SL
R: 4ds j to p on prev Ch, (4ds p) 2 times, 4ds close, do not turn
R: 4ds j to last p of prev R, (4ds p) 2 times, 4ds close, do not turn
R: 4ds j to last p of prev R, (4ds p) 2 times, 4ds close, SL
Ch: 3ds j to last p of prev R, 11ds lj at the end of corresponding Ch on previous row#
Repeat between # around
Cut and tie. Stiffen using your favorite method.
